I found this as I was cleaning out my closet and preparing to move for a new job (more about that in a future entry!). I was about 17 when I wrote this for AP English as a Shakespearean sonnet assignment.

For the '800' Guys

The whir of a drill
The bite of metal cutters
Watch out - we have tools

I wrote this for the guys in maintenance while on an internship in 2006. They loved it so I'm happy.

I found two more old poems. I did these for some forum members. These two guys were playing an online chess game, and I was spectating. The winner received a sonnet, and the loser received a limerick. That was the deal. So here they are:

This is for a literature competition for a forum. You can read this as a singular poem. Each stanza is a haiku. They're not meant to stand alone; they're just there as a rhythmic template. I'm posting them here to show that I can write more than just fanfiction. XD
